Pre-Race at Mount Snow, Vermont

Teams gathered this morning at 5:30 am at the Mt. Snow ski resort for final checks, map pickup and a few hours of strategy before the start of the 2024 Hard Fall. Arriving well before dawn, racers had just a short time to prepare for the next 27 hours of racing. For all teams, this is the first time they’ll see the course which has been kept tightly under wraps prior to the race. Working on strategy for a race like the Hard Fall with its 81 checkpoints over 95 miles, many racers will need to choose which sections to attack and which ones to leave in order to finish within the allotted time.
