Finishers on a Shortened Course

The weather…. wow. Raid Temiscamingue 2024 took place under some incredibly challenging weather. Driving rain, stiff gusts of wind and temperatures dropping to the low 40s and even upper 30s in the morning. This was truly an aberration for the area as well - the days prior to the race were sunny, dry and pleasant but during the race, the region was absolutely saturated. That didn’t stop the teams from heading back out onto the course and then finishing the shortened Raid despite brutal conditions. Overall winners were the Finnish duo, Northern Adventure team who edged out the previous year’s winner Def Leopard (CAN) by just a few minutes, making up a short deficit from the previous day over last year’s champions. Rounding out the podium was team NonStop Adventure from Poland. The top all-female team composed of Barbara Niess May (US) and Una Hall (CAN) finished in first place in their division and 8th overall.
