5:45 am - Team Toyota Tundra holds the lead overnight

Just before dawn, the incredible athletes of Team Toyota Tundra rolled into Transition area 6 with the full compliment of checkpoints available from the course. The team, who hold the lead in the overall points series, has tightened their grip on today’s race as well. With many teams falling out of the race or incurring time penalties, Toyota Tundra has continued to plow ahead, clearing the course up to this point, widening the gap between themselves and the rest of the podium

There’s a fairly straightforward bike and a slow paddle ahead before the final 3 mile run to the finish line in Bishop so there is plenty of race left, but now energized by a fresh batch of trail mail, they’re ready to tackle those last 3 stages.
