7:30am - Canyoneering? Yes please! Hill climbs? Not so much.
You can always tell when racers move from talking about something they really struggled with to something they really enjoyed on a course. That was the case with the bushy-bearded Team Ibex. A brutal hill climb into TA5 almost sapped them completely. Pushing on though however, they made it to the canyoneering section of the course near dawn and watched the sun rise through the crown jewel section of this year’s course. And yes, they loved it.
